Rome weather
Things we'll do with Trafalgar:
We will stay at the Una Hotel near the train station. Suz and I will do some exploring on our own when we arrive a day before the tour starts. On the 15th after some leisure time we will meet with the tour director and then enjoy an orientation drive and introduction to the "Eternal City".
On the 16th we will visit the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel, and St Peter's Cathedral. Then on to ancient Rome including the Colosseum and Circus Maximus.

Things we may do on our own:
There is so much to see in Rome so we will stay a few extra days at the end of the tour. But at the top of that list are; the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Castel Sant'Angelo, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Baths of Caracalla, Arch of Titus, Arch of Constatine, and a thousand ornate churches and museums and plazas to enjoy a drink and people-watch.
25 Things to do in Rome
UPDATE SEPTEMBER 15
We have all arrived safely. Suz and I arrived yesterday after getting upgraded to business class. We were able to sleep in flat beds on the flight. The rest of our party arrived this morning and some were zombie-like after NO sleep.
This PM Larry, Suz, and I visited the National Museum. Artifacts from 500-300 BC were on display as well as more recent works based upon a Michelangelo design. We've already had two meals of pizza which were great. Very thin and crusty. I will add pictures later. Paul
UPDATE SEPTEMBER 18
Well, its been a few days, Suz has posted a pictures on her Facebook. I've taken a zillion pictures and will start to post them. We vested Vatican City and the museum and then the Sistine Chapel, No photos inside that chapel. St Peters square and the surrounding area was crowed because the pope was on his farewell tour...leaving for the USA on Friday. We were unable to visit inside of St Peters and will do that on the tour's last day.
We've had our share of pizza which so far has been thin, crispy, and tasty. Suz tried ravioli with shrimp and the shrimp looked at us. She said it was delicious.
The first night we had a welcome dinner with the other 51 people on this tour. It was a 3 course meal with wine. This is the largest group I've toured with.
I want to sample many flavors of Gelato!
